Who We're Supporting

Founded in 2009, Unite for HER is a national nonprofit dedicated to enriching the health and well-being of those diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancers—for life. Through integrative therapies, education, resources, and personalized support, Unite for HER empowers individuals to feel supported throughout treatment and beyond, providing access to services that complement their medical care and enhance their overall quality of life.

Zeke Kane was 12 when his mother was diagnosed with stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer, and he shaved her head himself rather than let her face it alone. Three years later, in 2021, he turned that experience into Spike For Her, so other kids watching a parent fight breast cancer could find the sense of community he needed and didn't have.

What started as a single Instagram post has grown into the most spirited Spikeball tournament in America: 128 teams every July 4th on the beach in Ocean City, NJ, raising over $25K for patient support through Unite for HER. Spikeball has sponsored the event every year since.
